Card Stud Poker

Card Stud Poker is another game that came from regular poker. This is the most well known kind of poker played in the world. The player is initially dealt seven cards, but only the best five will be his playing hand. Unlike some poker games, in Card Stud Poker there are no pot limits.

Rules
Before the game begins the players decide on an ante amount. There are limits for antes.

The game begins with the dealer dealing all players face downwards and one face up card before the initial betting begins. The player with the lowest card up is the “bring in”. He has to make a half a small bet of a fill small bet“.

If there is a tie for the “bring in” it goes by order of suits, with spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs in descending order. After the 4h card is drawn” fourth Street” the first move is made by the player with the highest hand so far. This player can also check if he or she desires. The fifth card is played ” fifth St.”, again the person who has the highest exposed cards makes the first move. All bets on Fifth St. are on the high end amount. Another card is dealt and the players are on “Sixth St.” Again, the person with the highest cards up makes the first move.

Now each player receives the final card on “Seventh St.” which is dealt facedown, now each individual player will have one card that the others cannot see. The first person to act on this round is still the player with the highest cards face up. The player’s that are still left place their bid and the cards are shown. The player with the highest exposed cards shows their card first after all the bets is in.

If there is still a bet on this last round, the player with the highest exposed cards shows his cards first. The best five card poker hand wins the pot. With this game you have a better chance at producing a good hand because you have seven cards. Know the rules of the game. The more you play it the more strategies you will develop.
